Apparently search was broken.
We were originally relying on Postgres' built-in text search (pgroonga) but we were getting reports that wasn't working for folks.
So we deployed MeiliSearch instead.
(We also took the opportunity to bump up the server specs even more which resulted in some very minor downtime a few minutes ago.)
Only downside is now it needs to build-up its search index from scratch.

Use this to your advantage with r, j, JimmyTruth, Jimmy_Truth, ramon95, etc. Note that rules are case insensitive, so a rule for JimmyTruth (capital J and capital T) will also apply to jimmytruth (lowercase j and lowercase t). 1. No more invites. We're opening up registrations back up.
2. Email addresses will no longer be required but they are still encouraged. You can delete the email address on your account if you want.
3. A valid sign-up reason WILL be required. One word "reasons" or obvious "junk" answers will be ignored.

Warning! If you do not provide a valid Email address and you lose access to your account you will NOT be able to recover it. We will not restore or recover any accounts that are lacking a valid Email address under any circumstances. This can also impair our ability to provide you with out-of-band support or help if you're having problems with your account since we have no way to authenticate you to your account.
But we know people are leery about forking over their email address.

Only one more instance to move from dedicated VPSes in Falkenstein to a dedicated docker infrastructure in Helsinki. This has been an amazing learning experience. The consolidation of infrastructure is going to save us money in the long run and allow us to provide even more services!
Every day I'm amazed at just how few resources Sharkey demands even when hosting 5000+ concurrent users.
