looking at the advantage automated translation by deepl.com has for now over #Libretranslate, I wonder if the #fediVerse can make a difference somehow in fomenting the #FOSS option.
On one hand we could consider that platforms that do integrate one or the other integrate both giving the user the option to choose.
On the other hand I wonder if it could be possible to correct and improve libretranslate translations and send that to libretranslate itself.
In the wake of Bluesky's hosting and verification of ICE (more info at https://social.growyourown.services/@FediTips/115907813290485171 ), many admins have defederated the Bluesky bridge. If you run your own Fedi server, you can block the bridge by defederating this domain:
brid.gy
This will automatically defederate all the bridge's subdomains as well.

Hmmm, another dodgy looking account follow from pixelfed[dot]au. Third this month. Could be nothing, but one more and I may block the server.
I think there might be some kind of a federation issue between GoToSocial and some other Fediverse software; in this case specifically, Friendica.
I say this because I've had what appears to be the same follow request every time, over and over again, from someone on Friendica. I approve their follow request every time I see it, which has been several times so far today. It's technically possible that this person is trolling, although I highly doubt that; I've literally approved it and then refreshed immediately, and then it was there again, within seconds.
I've had people unfollow me and then request to follow me again, just to annoy me, and I really don't think this person's doing that.
