@peritia I would obviously report the account, and also let other admins know. A good way to do this is #mastoadmin and #fediadmin (for general purpose admin stuff, as well as bad accounts), and #fediblock (for bad accounts exclusively)

If you're running a Fediverse server, make sure you are actually using and monitoring your designated admin account. Do not leave it unmonitored, do not tell people to contact a different account.
Here's why it's important: Your admin account is the one people will contact if there's a problem involving your server. If your admin account fails to respond to multiple reports of problems, your server may end up being defederated by other servers for being unresponsive.

Not sure if I get what you mean by that.
What I'm referring to is that if there are instances that allow #bot accounts that "cheat", those instances should be blocked by the instances suffering such transgressions.

If you want maximum user safety on your Mastodon server, you might be interested in the little-known "Limited Federation Mode".
This mode blocks all other servers by default, and allows you to individually name which servers you are willing to federate with. This is also known as an "allowlist", as opposed to the more common "blocklist" approach.

Does anyone know if there is a piece of software to let me, idk, firewall ActivityPub? I want something that can examine every incoming and outgoing message with an arbitrary script and then decide whether to accept or drop the message.
Both for T&S reasons and just for plain old spam/ham reasons.
