Godot:
Building my RPG/Roguelike/dungeon-crawler.
I have Items (Custom Resource) and an Inventory system
But I need a way to have items (Consumables) do something.
I can emit a signal, and receive it in the Item Manager, but I want to build a generic System where I can have a list of Effects, assign some to an Item, and have Item Manager DoTheThing.
Currently, I'm keeping an Enum of Effects, adding @Exports Array to items, and OnUse loop over effects

I don't fully understand what classes are yet, but it was a good day learning gdscript programming.

Yeah, I just released something (go check out Seeker's Simple Input Prompts on itch.io !) and am already back on the grind with something else !

🚨 Notification system incoming 🚨

Got the basics down already, notifications are stored in a queue and are displayed when there is space for them ! They have a lifetime and can be sent away by clicking too.

So, per this file, Godot "discourages" AI-assisted contributions, but permits them sometimes. A PR cannot be fully authored by an LLM, but then who can verify it if you say it only helped a little, eh?

I _think_ "AI contributors" refers to people using AI, and not agents themselves, but it still makes me puke a little.

However, an engine is only a part of the final result. It's quite easy to make something awful with *any* game engine. Dev(s) know-how and dedication to their work have a lot to do in the final result. Basically, you need both a reasonable game engine *and* good developer(s) to make a good game.

While this does prove that #Godot is a reasonable option, it doesn't guarantees all games made with Godot will look good or have good performances or any other quality.
