I realised that my zombie rendering code gives me camera rotation for (almost) free. Not sure if that is going to work for the gameplay, but I think it looks awesome.

Tried my hand at some grass last week. Instead of simply stepping the colors i use dithering to add some "detail", but since this render is at a lower resolution the dithering doesn't look as good. I think the results are nice either way!

@mcc "You don't use open source software because it's better (it usually isn't)." Define better. Anyway. I'm sure there will be a ton of slop generators ready to fill the gap made thousands of creators having had their toolbox evaporate. Fortunately there is #libre, #freesoftware and the more folks that create with it, the "better" (whatever that means) it will get. #Krita, #Blender, #OBS, #Godot etc.

After a flurry of activity I've got a bunch of stuff working on my Mercenary in #godot. Item take/drop, and locked doors and keys.

I've added a working exporter for my #javafx building editor, plus and an importer for godot that inserts the door mechanisms automatically.

godot's been a bit frustrating, the code editor is absolute pants and learning how everything works is tricky with so many past versions in online discussions. Plus python sucks.

Still all muddled on where to store all my data.
I've got a bunch of (mostly) static info to be called up by the Character Sheet.
Currently, most of it is stored in ScoundrelManager, as that is where is is used (to send to Scoundrel)
I have extracted some to its own (Global) file.
Should I move it all there? Should I make more Global data-stores?
Is there a better way?

Well, now it all automatically updates and you can cancel tasks as well as add them. How exciting.

In a "full game" this would be a 3D space and you'd allocate tasks by walking to these places.
