I'm not happy about the #enshitification of #Discord. I have a 'server' for my close friends and if this age verification shit fucks up something in March then it's deletion time and full migration to #Matrix. Hell I'll even pay for the hosting myself.
But I have this nagging feeling that my non-techy friends does not give a flying fuck about any #privacy or #security whatsoever so I fear it's gonna be a tough migration.

Meine Alternativen müssen leicht zu installieren und einrichten sein und entweder im Browser funktionieren oder auf Windows und Linux gehen. Wir sind ne multitechnische Gruppe und ich will nur spielen, keinen Techsupport aus der Ferne machen. :)

PS. With all the Discord stuff, in case you wonder why you never see me promoting Matrix, it’s not because it’s a usability nightmare (which it is) but because it’s made by the kind of people who’d be happy to call ICE a customer.
