Looking at #Godot performance on a personal project, and it seems that CollisionShape nodes each create a draw call??? They're invisible shapes!! Why are they adding to draw calls???

Also, I played it on the #SteamDeck with the controller input scheme instead of the usual mouse controls and I have to say that was one of the most interesting and well working controller based input schemes I've ever seen in a point-and-click adventure!
I'm currently learning #Popochiu to create my own adventures in #Godot and I'll have to see how to replicate that control scheme there!

Hawk Hill Estate
I've removed a lot of the navMesh re-baking, which seems to help, but I'm still getting a lot of lag.
I'm not sure where it's coming from - graphs seem to indicate "process" (and some ("physics_process").
I'm not sure how I can optimise this, without knowing what's actually causing it. I didn't think I'd got too much stuff going on, so hard to figure it out without extensive manual testing :(

Steady progress integrating the 3D environment placeholders into the flow of the game.
I'm taking out a lot of the complexity that was in the scheduling mechanic and putting it into the workplaces themselves. So instead of having 4 different workshop work options in the scheduler, you just have one and set it up in the workshop itself ahead of time.

Been doing some refactoring, but now I've also added "goal tokens" which will be scored when they reach the bottom of the grid. For now they just do a janky little animation when they reach the bottom.
