For the amount of things I've done with #Godot, I think it's kinda interesting that I've never done anything 2D in it (besides UI). Maybe I should give it an actual try 🤔

I tried Godot for the first time and it was pleasant. I could fully understand the systems right away, understood the workflow and they actually have better documentation than other engines. #godot #gamedev #indiedev

Not sure what I expected, but the generated UV coords of #Godot's prism mesh are not very usable for just slapping some texture on it, hmph

I can now do simple plants without growth stages on tilemaps and they're still responsive, drop things etc. The key is (if you want to do something with the sprite) to replace the cell with an object on collision. I'd like to make an example project when the time is there. #godot

I actually remember using this one in #godot 3 a long time ago:

And it was pretty good.
Will have to check if it works with #godot4

I'm starting something new in #godot (4.x this time) and 3d# (whereas I normally work with 2d). I'm looking for a good camera add-on that will allow me to move freely through the 3d space but also (and especially) allow me to focus on an node (or group of node) and then orbit the camera around it. I've come across phantom-camera.dev/ which looks great but I am not sure if it can do what I want?
