I desire a controller based drawing program, so I'm playing around with different control schemes.
Here I can move around with the dpad, offset at a range with a joystick, extend that offset with an analog trigger and then jump there with a button

This week we’ve finalised more assets for #godot screenshots for a Steam Page, made a template scene in #blender to show said assets, and dirtied up the prototype to see how much time players can spend just making it look nice, without respawning dirt #indiegame #gamedev #screenshotsaturday

I am still doing materials, shaders and landscapes. While I used #Godot for my initial landscape project, for the newest one I wanted to try out #Unreal, for fun and mainly to learn something new in a different engine.
Fun fact, even in this project there is quite a lot godot involved, in the form of #materialMaker, creating the #textures
I will continue to work on this project over the next weeks and even polish it further, add some more content ...

I made a hatching shader in Godot !
It's a post processing effect based on a difference of gaussian to extract edges and hatch them accordingly.
Love the result, I'd like to use it with a pen plotter now !

The dialogue system is working great, but I need better ways to work with Transcripts.
The Event granularity is great for flow control and customization/extension, but... this isn't even a long conversation (or all of one).
Learning how to use RegEx and making a text editor is probably my best shot. But I'm not too far from being able to make a fully playable (if ugly) demo now, and both my attention and energy are at a premium as-is.
