Small update to my game.
Now there is a diver and some UI adjustments.
Also the player physics got improvements now and we have a new great water shader thanks to @binbun3d@mastodon.social
Took me a while to make it visible from both sides (above and below the surface) but now I'm understanding shaders and how to debug them way better.
Next I'll work on the look of the corals and create my own coral modals.

And there it is, the suspension system, modeled in #FreeCAD, rigged, animated and textured in #Blender, is now an interactive thing with the physics simulation in #Godot! And it works great!
However, I'm surprised how *small* it looks in the game 🫣 Maybe I should make it a bit bigger?
Anyway, next step will be to make the wheels actually roll! And allow locking the direction of some of them. And add an engine, and a driving seat to take control and drive around.
WIP smoke. Since the smoke itself is just billboards the shadows would've changed based on where you look, so I used balls.

Although the goal of the game is to not have an interface like this, I need one to actually develop the game.
It took almost a week to get back to this stage, which is visually almost identical to the original. But this one can actually be developed, it's not like threading a needle every time you try to do anything.

One of the most annoying things about the UI in #Godot is that text is by default marked as "MOUSE STOP" - meaning that if you put text on something, the player can no longer click on it or mouseover it.
I do not know why Godot has done this. It has been the wrong setting every single time in every UI I have ever created.
In fact, in the indie games I've played where the text is the mouse stop, it's been the most annoying shit in the UI. It's Just A Bad Decision.
So, one of the most important job of a witch is to create potions, right?
I added some kind of plant on the table so that we can use the leaf as an ingredient of a potion.
The only downside is that the plant looks dead to me (I reused color palette of the witch, which doesn't have green).
