I joined the #1BitJam9 to finally program a game that feels done. I have my idea set and the first prototype with the core mechanic takes shape. That gives me so much motivation to keep on going. š„³ The theme is #capitalism and you need to collect money, otherwise you will spend money and if it's empty it's game over.
Normals gave way for some cool stylizations for this smoke

Slowly working through the GDL 90 specification. It isn't exciting work but needed work. I'm just doing traffic reports for now and hopefully then I can take my app up in the air with a ForeFlight Sentry and get actual ads-b traffic.

I had to reluctantly admit that ānumber go up, make fun noise when go upā is actually important for game feel so I added damage numbers.
Problem is that because there are just so many enemies, spawning a chip for every enemy looks messy to me.
Video has three different options - which one looks the least wrong?
1 - Every number, every enemy, every hit
2 - Only big numbers
3 - Only 50% of numbers, randomly

I just went through my #Godot global autoload file and searched for where each of its functions were being called. Found a few that were only being used in one script, so was able to move them out of the autoload and into the script that was using them.
I wonder if there's a plugin that does this (reports on where functions, variables, constants, etc. are being called from) to help cleanup your project...
