Went into today with a backlog of bugs on my SNES era #jrpg prototype. Was worried they were going to eat up my entire day and possibly part of tomorrow too. Managed to wrap all of them up in two hours. Clean, modularized, and decoupled code makes changes and maintenance easier. Who knew?
Been working on making the environment a bit more readable. Added a star field background, inspired by Super Mario Sunshine. Also changed the cube textures to alternate colors on each side.

Some good news, I have now backported all the #Godot 4.6 animation work to 4.52, the effort to migrate my 4.6 work back is going well.
Amazing how much less RAM 4.5.2 uses for the same scenes, too.

Gave myself a little blender challenge of putting together a village scene in Godot as quickly as I could, as a way to refresh on my asset creation workflow.

This weekend I've been mostly improving the physics and playing with the gameplay variables. I'm mostly struggling to find interesting controls and level layout. Might get rid of those blocks altogether, they look cool but the player is too safe behind them. #godot #gamedev
