More scripting magic.
So for the past few years the stats for this have always said '0 active users', which has never been true.
TIL Sidekiq has a scheduled job at minute 0 to refresh the instance stats. Funnily enough as a workaround to broken sidekiq queues I've had a cron to restart the scheduler at minute 0 as well.
So I've made yet another script to move the minute 0 sidekiq cron to minute 2 instead.
So yay, accurate metrics now maybe?

I've updated robots.txt on here, Instafops, FloofTube and Fox.yt's root site. Even added the Cloudflare 'Content-signal' that I've been seeing around.
Hadn't done it until now because I had to write some scripts to SED it into the running docker containers since it's not on perpetual storage.
Sick of these AI scrapers trying to dump content (especially FloofTube videos). Hopefully this at least keeps the well-behaved scrapers at bay.

i need help because i do not know what is wrong here...
i have setup my instance to use a newly setup bucket with a new access key with a different s3 provider. now whenever i upload something i keep getting an error saying "NoSuchKey"
i am unsure how to fix this

Today snooker.uk.to upgraded to the latest version of Mastodon: 4.5.0
Upgrade went without a hitch with barely any downtime.
I am glad that quoting options can be set per post and with a default settable on a per user basis.

Is the lack of ability to search intentional?
On mastodon.social, for example, if I search for a couple common words I get 5-10 results on posts.
I'd expect there to be literal hundreds of thousands of results based on the size of the server.
Kinda makes it hard to find content I'm genuinely interested in on the fediverse.
