The worst part about following the tag is that, every time a new piece of hardware comes out, there are endless posts linking to the exact same article. And then often a dozen blog posts, all of which just re-hash the article.

Keyboard uses low-profile Gateron Blue switches and an RP2040 controller.

Does anybody know whether the Gateron KS-33 low-profile blue switches of the #RaspberryPi 500+ are soldered or hotswappable? Couldn't find any information online.

Asking for a friend. :awesome:

Damn, the company get so close and yet so far yet again. The looks great, will no doubt work fine, but again little design issues damage the thing. Having to use a spudger to get to the m.2 slot is barmy - give us a damn door! Also there is absolutely no excuse using micro hdmi - there is plenty of room and that connector is horrible. Little things like that seem to have dogged the pi series for a while now *sigh*

The 500+ reminds me somewhat of the imagined future I was looking forward to perhaps 30-40 years ago.

I do like the idea of it very much, but for various tedious 21st Century reasons, if I were spending that sum of money, I'd buy an ex-lease Dell Latitude.
