One of the Raspberry Pi's attractions is its expandability with "HAT (Hardware Attached on Top)" support.

HATs can be attached to the Raspberry Pi's GPIO pins, allowing for easy addition of functions like sensors, displays, and motor control. ✨

No soldering is required, making it beginner-friendly, and the included drivers make it easy to get started.
A great ally for IoT and prototyping. 💡

grrr, even though the GPS HAT product page says the adapter I have will work, it does not. there's a smaller adapter though. good news it's in stock. So maybe in 2 weeks I'll be able to build the GPS Pi

On the topic of Kids learning to code,
Older neighbors kid (yes the one who runs Gentoo) just got his 9 years old brother a raspberry pi 400 and told him "time to learn how the world works and I will teach you how to read and write the spells" then they spent the day installing the system upgrading to Trixie and playing with QLogo.

This was pretty good for the younger one because he has difficulties with Math and English (2nd language).

Now he can't wait for his brother to come from work to "learn more magic"

Packed the #RaspberryPi 500 and a portable LCD monitor for a short trip and could not connect to hotel wifi as the browser didn't "auto-connect" after picking the SSID. Tried restarting after browser launch, still zilch. Went to 192.168.1.1 and hey presto, sign in!
