@socketwench If you want to go #minimalist, you could try a #Pi0W2 with a keyboard & screen.
- But yeah unless you want a craptastic #amd64 mini PC with seperate power bricks, then the #Pi500 should be a good option.
I just wished there was like a proper #Setup for @ubuntu / #UbuntuLTS #Desktop for it that also allows setting up #LVM-based #FullDiskEncryption on #RaspberryPi…
- Cuz so far the ways to retroactively encrypt are more cumbersome than the hacks @geerlingguy does with #ComputeModules…

Heute habe ich einen #RaspberryPi 3 im laufenden Betrieb von #openSUSE Leap 15.6 nach #SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP7 migriert. Dank des Werkzeugs yast2-migration-sle ging dieser Prozess völlig problemlos vonstatten.

(Wondering whether Argon40 will release schematics and mechanical drawings so we can make PCBs that plug into the GPIO port.)

QMK, mechanical switches, RGB effects, and most importantly proper direct mode AND save to device options with protocol already available? Writing a controller for this thing in #OpenRGB will be a breeze. The other RPi all in ones were nice but not enough to tempt me, but the 500+ is an instant purchase. Plus it can double as an ARM build server with its NVMe SSD and copious amounts of RAM.

I just saw someone talking (on one of those video sites) about the Raspberry Pi 500+ computer (released today, a Raspi 5, 16GB, in a quality keyboard), and they definitely have my attention.

Ähm ja💡Tipp für alle, die #ArchLinuxARM auf dem #RaspberryPi mit LUKS-Verschlüsselung installieren:
Du brauchst mkinitcpio NICHT ausführen!
Warum?
✅ Das offizielle Arch ARM-Image bringt bereits einen funktionierenden Kernel + initramfs mit
✅ LUKS-Unterstützung kannst du direkt über die cmdline.txt im /boot aktivieren
📄 Einfach cryptdevice=UUID=...:rootfs hinzufügen und /etc/fstab anpassen
Fertig. Kein Chroot, kein QEMU nötig.
