Well, seems like Communick is getting a small surge of new signups for people looking for #matrix as a #discord alternative.
It's exciting, but at the same time it puts me in a terrible dilemma. The number of people signing up is not enough to make me take the jump back to make this my full-time job, and if I go after any type of outside investment I will have to deal with the pressure of making this grow at a pace which will be way outside my comfort zone.

Question for the nerds out there- what Matrix hosted server would you recommend?
I am a newbie, but not afraid of choosing something other than Matrix dot org. My priorities in a hosted provider are:
1. Privacy and security; European hosting preferred (anonymity is nice too if possible)
2. Reliability/performance
3. Sustainability focus, if such a thing is possible.
And yes, this is partly to get away from #Discord, though it is long overdue.
