Clearly this was a decision spurred on by Discord's latest insane decision (𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴), we're at least providing a space for those who thought of this latest move as the last straw

I keep wondering if those who're now pushing for #Matrix in wake of #Discord enshittificating like hell ever used that damn network for anything more than talking to a few contacts and joining 1 or 2 individual rooms, all with a single client on a device that never changes, with zero desire to ever talk to people (but merely write).
I just can't explain how there are so many who either don't know why Discord was / is so popular or about all breaking issues Matrix suffers from on every corner.

Given the #Discord situation, let me point out that many flaws of #Matrix have been improved over the past 2-3 years:
* "Unable to decrypt message" is no longer a thing
* Harmful content is caught server-side
* Spaces (grouping channels) are now supported on many clients including Element X
Asterisks apply so it's by no means perfect yet. But if you were disappointed last time you tried it, maybe worth giving it another shot!

Encontré el cliente «perfecto» para Matrix. Se llama commet.chat . Y le llamo perfecto porque es el único donde he visto que puedes personalizar tu perfil (Banner, descripción, estado, etc), además tiene llamadas (1:1 hasta ahora).
Tiene otras cosas interesantes como poder crear rooms para galerías o Calendarios.

#Matrix protocol:
I use #fluffychat for multiaccount, but sometimes you need or you would like to use #element. Were you using it on the browser you can have several accounts by either using different browsers, profiles or even jails (in #firefox and derived).
If you wanted to do the same with the desktop app I think this link explains a way to do it in a comfortable way in gnu/linux (i guess you could also just add the --profile to the desktop links...).
