Ieri, spinto da un mio amico, ho provato ad aprire #godot ed ho tentato di ricreare l'interfaccia iniziale del giochetto che sto sviluppando in #love2d .
In un'oretta ho impostato il tutto (metà del tempo l'ho passato a cercare tutorial :D ).
Ok, va bene... finisco il progetto in love2d e poi lo ricreo in Godot. Così mi alleno su entrambi 😂

Synchronisation problem
If two Gatherers try to gather from the same place, and one of them depletes it, it disappears, and the other hits a "no such item" Error :(
I could add a "being gathered" flag, and force the 2nd gatherer to work a different place. Looks a bit tricksy tho.

I am experimenting with the RenderingServer in #godot and #gdscript
Drawing and moving canvas items with a texture directly through the rendering server.
My goal is a bullet-hell type of game.
I am testing the limits + pros/cons of the different approaches.
With the rendering server I can transform and draw 5000 items at 170+ fps. (no collisions)
With the nodes it is between 5-80 fps for 500 nodes. (with collisions, hit- and hurt-boxes)
back to testing.
Any Godot developers out there who released a game on Android with in-app purchases? I have the error "this version of the application is not configured for billing through google play" when trying to purchase. I think everything is set up properly so... 🤷♂️ 🥲

Been a minute since the last #RulerOfRoguemount post, mostly because I've been dealing with under-the-hood improvements that don't make for good screen captures. Today, however, I have something new! This is the third unit type, the Adventurer! They are the only unit capable of combat with monsters, and will hunt them down if it thinks it can with the confrontation.
Boots and wish-lists are always deeply appreciated!

Slow but steady progress on the bot game. All the assets are temporary, but the bones are there. Bots can spawn into the correct locations according to assignments and look like they should.
I'll need to revamp the schedule system so you can earn resources while in here...
