Parallax occlusion mapping with siluhettes is actually possible? CryEngine supported this already over 10 years ago, interesting. Gotta see if something like this would be possible in #Godot

is anyone familiar with basic multiplayer in #godot?
i want to make a system where other players show up as translucent sprites and sync their frame, position, scale, rotation, their sprite's flip_h and flip_v variables, and their material palette ID (i have a table in an autoload of palette images)
they would show up only if you're in the same level scene as them, and would not have any effect on your game's world, nor would there be any specific "lobby", chat system, player names, etc
