I've been exhausted over the last week, but today I was able to work on the underwater theme again.
I completed the background and added a water shader effect, and changed the cube art for a cleaner style.
My problem is that
1. I don't really enjoy working within the #Godot architecture. I feel like I'm fighting it all the time instead of working together. Scene nodes are great for showing things on the screen but I really don't want to hold the logic in them, I'd be much more comfortable in an ECS.
2. I don't want to be back at Square One switching to some other engine with 1% of the amenities I get from Godot, trying to build scene and animation editing, asset management management, pathfinding, etc etc instead of building cool stuff like behavior triggers, not to mention the actual game part.
And that's why I haven't touched my project in 2-3 weeks.
He has places to go and things to see. You may get bored watching him chase green dots, but I could watch him endlessly, because I have come to view him as My Son. #godot
I think the procedural mesh deformation might have been a little excessive in this context... Time to go to bed 😁

I pushed a little update to my Godot addon - v0.3.1 of Copy Files on Export which, basically, just makes the settings windows bigger, and I also put it up on the beta asset store!
