What if you could connect two nodes without a direct reference?
What if you could store signals in your resources folder?
What if you could respond to a signal right from the inspector?
I am currently working on a new #Godot asset that brings all of these features to the editor.
The goal is to implement a "Signal Bus" using Resources in a similar manner to how ScriptableObjects can be used as "Event Channels" in #Unity3D.
I can't wait to publish it.

P.S.: As you may noticed, I didn't write the regular summaries for most news, just copy pasted the article titles. I decided to stop doing those summaries for most news (except for those where the article title doesn't tell much, like the GNOME 49 and Ubuntu 25.10 articles above), because it takes quite a lot of time which I can spend doing other, more useful things, plus writing those are pretty tedious, especially for the regular software releases, which aren't that interesting to me 90% of time, I don't really enjoy writing them anymore. Having this weird bug where the terrain has a slight ridge or trench on the edges of chunks. It's not a discontinuity – both chunks do agree on the anomalous height.
Sadly the commit where I introduced it modified a lot of places where the bug could be hiding.

Well, I don't know what was going wrong, but I've got a Markov Movie Generator working, using the Words from existing Movies.
It looks like there were some non-printing characters in my data, that were causing the parsing to halt. I can't find them, though, and just had to type over the places in the list that caused problems.
Not over happy with the results - might need a better data set.
