#unity doesn't just limit the personal edition to an annual limited revenue, it also limits the kinds of applications you can build with it to "Gaming and entertainment applications only."
And game engines are useful for so much more.
#unreal doesn't seem to have this limitation and of course #godot has no such limitations at all.

World generation now runs in worker threads. The first time I've ever worked with semaphores.
There is still a mayor bug in that it will create every chunk once and then never again. It can't track yet what chunks got unloaded.
Also, I need a mechanism to block the main thread if the chunk you are currently in is not loaded. Or at least until collision is there.
Some notes minimal performance testing on a scrolling background in #Godot using a Parallax2D node with either a single Sprite2D and a large image or two Sprite2D nodes that load smaller chunks and swap positions to follow up in the PoC experiments from yesterday.

Does anyone have experience working on a multilanguage #Godot project? Like gdscript and C#? I'm using #Linux #Manjaro and I want to use a C# addon, so right now I'm between making my project multilanguage or translating the C# addon to gdscript.
