Day 12

Pseudo-infinite terrain generation! It's quite laggy right now, so I'll have to look into how to make that asynchronous. Also, the code is currently pretty trash, so maybe there is some performance to be gained.

But it works :)

I'd also like to check if I can keep the player on some kind of treadmill, resetting their position back to the initial 0,0 square and just replacing the world around them. That way I could trade fuzzy float limits for hard int limits.

Hi, #Godot folks out there. Do you know any #GodotEngine implementation for verlet ropes that is NOT a .NET project? I see plenty of people doing it but it just doesn't work on my project and I'm starting to get very annoyed.

Also, why on earth a RigidBody doesn't work when it's a son of a CharacterBody that is moving????????

Working on using scons to build my custom #Godot 4.5.1 release template, and just can't seem to get the universal binary package to work.

The custom editor binary package works fine, though, as does the x86_64 template.

Weird. Anyone seen this? Godot on Mac is new to me.

I'm back in my hotel room and relax before heading home tomorrow.

I had a blast @GodotFest this year. It was just amazing from beginning till the end. Amazing people, awesome talks and a fabulous location (SmartVillage) with so much benefits that I've seen nowhere before.

Thanks for making this event happen to all the great people from staff, volunteers as well as the speakers.

I hope to get the opportunity to comeback next year.

The impact frames (the black background with white character silhouettes that shows for a few frames) for the final blow look and feel better to me now.

So far this week I've also...

- listed out things about the game that I'm not satisfied with and want to either improve or cut

- created a first draft of a publisher pitch deck (mostly for practice, idk if I'll actually pursue a publisher)
