This release is a maintenance update: a few bug fixes, a security mitigation worth paying attention to, and some performance improvements for users on slow connections.

It's worth updating to pick up the SSRF (Server-Side Request Forgery) mitigation.

Mrs Hudson had brought them tea. My friend and his guest sat close together and spoke intensely for a long time. At the end they both rose and performed what appeared to be a curious little ritual. They both raised their right arms, formed fists, and bumped their fists gently into each other, sharing a conspiratory smile. Most extraordinary. I admit I could not help blushing a little when I saw it.

Later that evening Holmes came to my study. Our visitor is a remarkable woman and our most powerful ally yet, Watson. Lady Joan will join me again tomorrow, I will take her to Imperial College to meet my old friend Professor Forthlisp. I need you to do some research for me, Watson. Find out what you can about something called the ActivityPub Protocol. I don't want to trouble Lady Joan with too many questions that have obvious answers. She really is the most remarkable woman, Watson.

🌍 PixHub.social and the Fediverse: A Better Way to Share Ideas

In today’s social media landscape, platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn dominate how we communicate, share ideas, and promote businesses.

But this dominance comes at a cost:
limited transparency, reduced privacy, and algorithm-driven visibility.

PixHub.social offers a different path — built on the principles of the Fediverse.

💡 What Makes PixHub.social Different?

PixHub.social is not just another platform.
It is part of a decentralized network powered by ActivityPub, an open standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium.

That means:

No central authority controlling everything
No dependency on a single company
Full interoperability with other platforms in the Fediverse

👉 You are not locked into one ecosystem — you are part of a network.

🔒 Privacy and Transparency First

Unlike traditional platforms, PixHub.social follows a simple principle:

👉 Your data belongs to you.

There is:

No tracking for advertising
No hidden data profiling
No selling of user behavior

Transparency is not a feature — it’s the foundation.

🧭 No Hidden Algorithms

On platforms like Instagram or Facebook, algorithms decide:

What you see
When you see it
Who sees your content

On PixHub.social:

Your feed is clear and understandable
No manipulation of reach
No pay-to-win visibility

👉 If someone follows you, they actually see your content.

🌐 Built on Open Standards (W3C)

PixHub.social uses ActivityPub — a protocol standardized by the World Wide Web Consortium.

Why does this matter?

Long-term independence
No vendor lock-in
A future-proof ecosystem

This is the same philosophy that made the web itself successful.

🔗 One Network — Endless Possibilities

PixHub.social is part of the Fediverse, meaning:

You can interact with users on other platforms
Your content can reach beyond a single app
Communities grow organically across instances

👉 Imagine Instagram, but connected to a much larger open network.

🇪🇺 A European Approach to Social Media

PixHub.social stands for:

European values
Data protection and privacy
Transparency and fairness
Sustainable digital ecosystems

This makes it especially relevant for:

Creators
Photographers
Businesses
Brands that value trust
🚀 Why Businesses Should Care

For companies, PixHub.social offers a unique opportunity:

Build authentic reach instead of algorithmic reach
Connect with real communities
Strengthen brand trust
Position yourself in an ethical digital environment

👉 No need to constantly “game the algorithm.”

✨ Share Your Ideas — Freely

PixHub.social combines:

Visual inspiration
Community interaction
Open networking

All without the downsides of centralized platforms.

🌱 Final Thought

The future of social media is not just about reach —
it’s about trust, transparency, and control.

PixHub.social is part of that future.

👉 Share Your Ideas.
In the Fediverse. From Europe.

@serigala_tropis not simple. Because it's not just about move your posts on old instance, but their posts already published and recorded by other instances.

Some tools exist to import old posts (specific to platform type), but other servers will still link those posts to the old place.

As additional note, post's identifier in #activitypub is their url. So it wouldn't be simple to change that.

You can migrate one profile to a new account, but it will just move your following and follower list, not posts.

8.1.0 — By the Numbers

ActivityPub for WordPress 8.1.0 is here. A new Fediverse statistics feature leads the release: a dashboard widget, monthly and annual email reports, and a shareable stats block with sharepic. Alongside it, an experimental ActivityPub API that lets third-party Fediverse apps post to your blog, Starter Pack imports in the Pixelfed and Mastodon formats, and richer EXIF metadata for photographers via the Vernissage namespace.

@reiver i'm currently working on onboarding for agents in . I think there are a lot of meaningful usecases. Imagine you can delegate an activity to an agent over the fediverse. Like "where is the next repair cafe in the near of xyz"... first plugin will be skos-fed. To federate knowledge chunks via . And let federated agents communicate and share knowledge via fediverse.
