Back in the old days, when I tested Calkey on my Yunohost setup, I wasn’t able to import any csv either. Misskey/Calkey/Firefish/Sharkey seem to have similar issues with privileges when it comes to Linux filesystems.
A small change in the default.yml solved that problem.

I also noticed that different instances running on the same Yunohost server can’t see each other properly. I was never able to follow my Friendica account from Mastodon, when both were on the same setup. Pixelfed was more forgiving, if I remember correctly. I guess NGINX routes requests for local domains through 127.0.01, which messes up the .wellknown lookups.

TBH I'm also considering setting up #yunohost et. al. on a VPS and bypassing all the port 25 email hassle. I wanted to host stuff locally, but getting around the email server problems is just kinda....insurmountable? Like, the options are, use a SMTP relay, which are actually meant to send out bulk mailings for businesses, based on the landing pages of the relays.
"Tell us about your buisiness and how you assembled your mailing list" none of those words apply to selfhosting webstuff on my little toy computer plugged into my tv.
Or the other option is to use a vpn. But not just any vpn, it has to have a static ip. It has to have port 25 open. It has to accept incoming connections. Yunohost has a short list of compatible VPNs, the vast majority of which are in french. There's one vpn there with a mostly english webpage, but it's only available if you live in belgium or like 4 other EU countries.
There's two more things I could try:
Get a VPS and try to set up my own wireguard tunnel vpn thinger from my Pi to the VPS
Get a VPS and just host the fedi server stuff there.
So pretty much my next step when I can afford it is to get a VPS

Also, I kinda want to be ridiculous and see if I can figure out how to install #Akkoma (since it's not in the #yunohost apps catalog) but I've never dealt with docker before. and I've never dealt with running a docker container as a custom app inside yunohost. Anyway, I have more pressing things to fix right now

Attention #YunoHost users
I bring you my #SelfHosting facepalm moment of the day.
PSA for you, which may save you some time. Learn from my lesson!
I attempted to connect to my VPS (running YunoHost) in Terminal, with SSH. I couldn't get in... the password kept getting rejected.
Then I put the VPS in "rescue mode" and generated a new root password. That didn't work either.
Then I restored the VPS from yesterday's snapshot. Hetzner emailed me a new password. Which didn't work.
Then I remembered: YunoHost disables root access. The only username that works for SSH is YOUR YUNOHOST ADMIN username, gaaaah.
End of my PSA I hope this saves you some time 😅
