Apple autoupdated my HomeKit network and disabled remote access and automations. Just to push me to buy more hardware, to restore two features that worked perfectly fine with my old iPad Mini.
Time to get out the old RaspberryPI and install Home Assistant.

That last code commit was essentially my competition day code with some comments added. Tonight I committed the first major refactoring to improve the hardware abstraction, implement proper logging and significant improvements to the serial communication so data is not repeatedly sent when values have not changed since the last send. This should make the #robot behave a lot better and avoid command buffer overloading. #robotics #RaspberryPi

Any #raspberrypi experts who can shed some light - when using xRDP to connect from my Mac, using the trackpad the scrolling is almost unusable in file manager, chromium etc. will track down a physical mouse to try tomorrow, but wondered if there's any wisdom to make this better? Don't want to use VNC as all my other machines are Windows so one tool makes keeping track of things easier
