Oh well, at least the 32-bit Raspberry Pi Zero works. Pity the #RaspberryPi isn't a more open platform but I daresay that's a Broadcom constraint.

Finally got all the parts to run my own node. and a WD black 2TB NVME. This first run feels like it's taking forever.

Firefox finally pulls the plug on 32-bit support, Raspberry Pi announces a 1TB SSD, lossless audio over WiFi with JackTrip, and dispelling some popular Linux myths.

I made a 0.2 release of my #Moonlight game streaming client for #RaspberryPi 5 that properly uses the hardware video overlay.

But man, figuring out the DRM, libgbm, EGL interactions to make it all work was kind of a pain. Those APIs could really use some docs! I imagine only half a dozen people use them, though. 🤷

Also, I discovered my TV offers a 120Hz mode, and was kind of surprised. But uuh... can barely notice the difference so far. 😅

this week I am a living example of why it's important to pay the extra few bucks for official #RaspberryPi hardware adapters instead of cheaper Geekworm parts

may my experience and lesson save you some suffering

Planning to use a #raspberrypi as the primary processor in your next #electronics project? I just discovered that there are loads of handy interface extenders out there.

They let you place sdcard slots, RJ45 plugs and USB ports anywhere you like.

So, no need for premade enclosures that hardly ever fits your exact hats and needs.

@jgoerzen yeah, in terms of absolute low power draw there may be something more power efficient than the #Pi0W2 (basically a cut-down #Pi3 A+) and #Pi0 / #Pi0W (a cut-down Pi 2 Model A)…

Problem is that so far no "competitior" even came close to #RaspberryPi when it comes to #documentation.
