I'd like to switch over to another Matrix homeserver from Matrix.org because of their new policy of scanning messages due to the Online "Safety" Act, but seems like I can't find any instance where I can successfully register (they either throw Internal Server Error, closed registrations, or generate invalid email verification link), or at least among those which have a Privacy Policy and seem trustworthy (yes, the majority of homeservers don't even have a Privacy Policy lol). I already looked at around 80-100 homeservers, inluding Unredacted, NitroChat, Bladerunn.in, Discuss.online, Thisisjoes.site and others with no luck.
Do you know any good homeservers which have a (reasonable) Privacy Policy and accept registrations? Would love to see some recommendations

Har hatt en fredelig lørdag morgen og fått vedlikeholdt flere av Element-oversettelsesprosjektene. En god del nye teksttrenger er blitt oversatt til bokmål.
Tenkte dette var en fin "tribute" til Matrix-miljøet som har sin store årlige konferanse i Strasbourg denne uken.

I love the #Element client for #Matrix, but the X version is just a draft IMO, missing so many important features, such as non bubble conversation, full chat customization options, and more important multiple photos upload... I am a bit sad, seems to me this move is premature 😕

@drahardja @anji to your point about OSS #UX, #Keet's is actually quite good IMO (though it is not yet open-sourced); and the onboarding is much smoother than it used to be (although initial sync of the app data still takes a little while).
Meets the #Discord crowd's needs of video & audio chat in large groups, which AFAIK #Matrix does not.

We had an amazing after show gathering with the activists from @hackstub after a successful last evening of the #MatrixConf2025. It was an interesting exchange, we learned a lot about your work and it was super pleasant to network with other hackers sharing our vision and values we bear as the ecosystem.
Now time to catch some sleep before rocking the last conference day.
