The #SocialWeb is not a closed place to put stuff, like the corporate social media platforms. It's about adding an attention layer to the already open web. We've got a lot of work to do but the value here is boosts and virality. Public and universal. Your community can be part of it but putting limits on your connections here (beyond trying to limit harassment) goes against what the fedi does best. Build your closed groups on #matrix. Build tools to make it to work like discord etc.
