Schade an einem Punkt, weil knapp vorbei: wenn man vor dem Hintergrund des AWS-Ausfalls die negativen Implikationen von Zentralisierung am Beispiel #Signal erörtert, wäre das naheliegende Beispiel für einen dezentralen Ansatz #Matrix gewesen, aber nicht Mastodon.
Dann hätte sich schön erörtern lassen, ob bzw. warum nicht, sich Signal mittelfristig dezentralisieren ließe, ob auf Basis des #Matrix-Protokolls oder anders. 1/3

Working on a bot that announces on #Matrix when a streamer goes live on #Twitch. My friends #stream there, so it makes it easier for folks in my circles to say hi and show their support. 🫶
It's self-hostable! I may run a hosted instance later—depends on if there's demand for it. Something like, invite my bot and do commands to follow creators. 🤔
It's very stable, and I'm still adding tests, docs, and more locales. Feedback or contributions are very welcome!

I still don't get why so many messengers don't notify you when someone reacts to your message with an emoji. What's the point of those reactions if you're not made aware of them (unless you specifically look for them in the chat)?
Looking at you, #Threema and #Matrix. 👀 Only #Signal does it right, apparently.
