There is no purple. Really, the drawing has only shades from gray to green, with the "purple pill" being actually grayish, yet you're likely perceiving it as purple. If purple isn't real, what else isn't? (and interestingly enough, this optical illusion is a very human thing to both draw and perceive, no algorithm can perceive the non-existent purple color)

Oh hey Spaces finally made their way to Element X. Finally one less thing that feels disjointed as fuck in the wonderful Matrix ecosystem.
I guess I should sit down and fix my Spaces since I stopped using them a while ago when I changed my client (since I needed sliding sync for my phone to stop lighting on fire).

your are discussing a complex problem on so many levels.
so i will do just one example:
* my family on a small (not comparable small) home server using #matrix -> no AWS involved.
* just 5 friends using #signal -> AWS is involved.
i didnt wanted to point to the fact that theoretical billions of users on thousands of servers are all talking in one encrypted room would need immensive usage of hyperscalers. ;)

You can also make your own #instance for others to use in under 1 or 2mins literally! Just configure the instance differently to the main #Jitsi instance (which is now too restrictive needing google etc account)
#Jitsi still is and can be instant with no account for Audio / Video Chats / screen sharing etc! Also has break-out rooms now like #Zoom
#Matrix is also so bloat and really too many steps for basic chat + account needed - compared to 2 clicks in a browser LOL
