FluffyChat seems to be the only matrix client that supports multiple accounts. (as they state) it's still experimental, but works well already except that it doesn't allow you to select your primary account and notifications sometimes look a bit funny (but work).
Nevertheless, can highly recommend FluffyChat as a matrix client. Especially since they added support for threads!

I managed to get #Snikket up and running in my set up. The documentation to integrate with existing reverse proxy is there, one just needs to carefully read everything.

Пожалуй, только #geminispace по настоящему свободный. В том числе и благодаря своим техническим огранчениям. Нет особенных способов воздействия. Кстати, и коммерия там едва ли возможна. В общем, кто хочет отдохнуть - советую заглянуть.

Google is trashing the Tenor API frustratingly, which means GiphyMaubot will need to be updated (despite being called Giphy, it also supports tenor and tenor was the more reliable one)

Synapse 1.145.0 released and it contains a fix (by yours truly) that should make SPA sites preview way better in your #Matrix rooms! The biggest problems for me were Mastodon and YouTube, which were basically useless text before.

@markus @sea Und da kam mir vorhin in anderem Kontext noch der Gedanke, dass Matrix als Alternative vielleicht nur deshalb so kompliziert rüberkommt, weil man beliebig viele Clients auf unterschiedlichen Plattformen nutzen kann.
Die gegenseitige Verifizierung von Clients, 'Quersignierung', muss man erstmal durchschauen.
Wenn man es dagegen wie die anderen Messenger verwendet - also nur Smartphone, kein Desktop - dann hängt die Nutzererfahrung (ja, schlimmes Wort) nur vom Client ab. Da wäre dann 'Fluffychat' eine ansprechende und wenig angsteinflößende Option.
Ein weiterer Vorteil von Matrix: Das Backup-Problem beim Smartphonewechsel entfällt, sobald währenddessen ein zweiter Client aktiv ist. Und der kann auch das WebUI auf dem Server sein.
Dies könnte DAS Argument sein, denn nach meiner Erfahrung beim DidIt-Support im Freundeskreis geht es fast immer um den Erhalt der bisherigen Chats.
