Wasn't as noticable in the video probably, but I made it so the chunk generation happens in its own thread (another thing I haven't done in #godot until now) so everything stays buttery smooth.
I'm definitely feeling a lack of knowlege in generating procedural geometry though. What I have here is just a basic tutorial for terrain generation. I'm not 100% sure how one accomplishes more variety, but I'm assuming it involves stacking noise on top of noise and multiple passes.

Is there a way I can introduce a new filetype to Godot (say *.dbat) which it can show in the filesystem and allow me to edit? (It's a plain text file.)
I don't want it to "import" tho. It must be read from the file at each runtime—so I don't think I can make an import plugin because that does an import.

Is there a property type that will show up in the inspector as a min/max range?
I want something like Dictionary[String,FloatRange] to be easily editable, but I can't find anything suitable and don't wanna make a plugin.

A while back I reported #firefox did not play well with exported #godot projects.
Turns out I was wrong. #firefox runs #godot projects just as fast as #chromium. And #chromium runs them just as slow as #firefox... on #wayland
On #x11 both work just fine.
