I figured maybe someone would like to bake simulations from #Blender to #Godot as I did for #Paraploimos with the sail of the ship, so I explained my method in the Godot Forum:

Day 22
Tried and failed to optimize the plane behavior. The documentation of the aerodynamics plugin said to make sure the center of lift is sligtly behind and above the center of mass, but it just keeps moving all over the place and sometimes just randomly goes to the side with the plane still on the ground.
So I tried to check with the build in cessna, and figured out why planes tend to have flat runways :P
Maybe I should just scrap the physics idea and program it manually.

Pour mes enfants de 11 et 14 ans, je cherche des ressources pour les aider à mettre un pied dans l'univers du développement de jeux vidéos. Ils commencent à tourner en rond avec ce qu'ils ont sous la main, ils veulent passer à l'étape d'après :D
Contraintes :
- matériel standard, pas de CPU/GPU dernière génération
- Linux uniquement
- pas *trop* de lecture (les bouquins type Eyrolles, même junior, ce n'est pas pour mon fils)
- côté compétences graphiques on va dire que c'est le minimum du minimum :D
Les deux sont très à l'aise avec un ordi ou une tablette, ont l'habitude de faire du Scratch ou même des mods Minecraft pour mon fils, et sont à l'aise avec l'anglais écrit (et même oral pour mon fils).

I'm also trying out some stuff for a small norwegian themed horror game called "Mørketiden", but I haven't got that much to show for it yet.

In addition I also started a project for a small underwater themed game: a 3D platformer where the gimmick is low visibility. You'll have to use a compass and a analogue map to find your goals. I learned a ton about 3D modelling and painting in #Blender, as well as building some simple animation skills. I also learned lots about finite state machines and how useful those are. I was also forced to understand a bit of vector math in order to make the ledge hang function.
