Realized I can work on things in whatever order I want to keep myself interested, so heres the crafting system basically done! UI is VERY placeholder, but is roughly what itll be. But the systems are there and work, so thats good enough for me!

Day 24
Tried to optimize the world generation, but don't yet have anything to show for it. But the idea is to essentially calculate the mesh from the height-map data.
That is slightly complicated by the fact that the mesh vertexes want normals, so I need a little bit more data than the height map contains.
But optimally, it would cut the number of noise lookups per point from 6 to 1, making it more usable in single thread mode
as im working on a new very short horror game, here's a treat: one of the rooms i made for Dim Veil (my main bigger project).
i think this room has a very comfy and distinct vibe

Finally tackled the upgrade system this weekend! Once you’ve collected enough coins, an overlay pops up with three random upgrades to choose from. The gameplay loop is pretty much done now! :)

🤓 My last cryptic post? I just figured out a way to create and run GLOBAL editor and project manager PLUGINS in Godot!
Limitations apply, but for editor and PM enhancements it's perfectly workable. This is mostly a proof-of-concept, but may grow into something, if there is any interest 👀
