Why is there a #Grogu in my #Godot game...?

i find the #godot documentation woefully incomplete to learn how to make new shaders. i understand the basics -- it's basically just linear algebra.
i've been having a strange issue incorporating shaders into individual tiles from tilesets; it seems that shaders compute coordinate values based on the atlas coordinates of each tile in their tileset rather than seeing a tile as an individual unit to be processed. googling doesn't seem to help and only offers very generic answers that do not apply at all to my usecase. how do y'all enter shaders into tilesets? #duckduckfedi #gamedev #shaders
The Godot AssetLib is in need of a lot of love and QoL features.
It feels like every plugin I open is abandoned or not compatible with the current version of Godot.
Or am I missing something like a third party asset library?
