@brombeer as it turns out there is a godot beta asset store [1]. Haven't found a way to actually have that as the default in godot.
You need to download the AssetPlus [1] addon from there. With it you have a decent asset store experience. Although it throws some errors in the console.

I started this project with the idea of making a realtime interactive music video experience. It evolved to include hover racing and mech combat.
I've learned a lot about the limitations of web game dev (it's easy to starve the audio buffer), and mobile graphics (fractal shader code doesn't pair well).
Overall I enjoy this method for making sound reactive and sequenced music visuals.
