Jay the CEO of bluesky got so mad at people for pestering her about not banning Jessy Singal that she went and banned one of the most popular users.
She proved here whole business is a lie because "world without Caesars" doesn't jibe with CEO will ban you for disagreeing with her.
More importantly though this user was supposedly on a separate instance. She was still able to lock him out of his account and perma ban him because #BlueSky isn't decentralized.

Did #bluesky do something? It's trending here, and that is not usually a good sign. After googling, i see references to #waffles and what look like some ironic #decentralized posts, so I assume one of their leaders popped off about something stupid or just made a terrible policy decision re: bluesky

The web is not a community space. It has great and shitty content. And we disagree on what we categorize as either. It's full of whatever people decide to put up on their own sites and the vast majority of it never gets seen (cause there are no algos). That's the nature of huge decentralized networks.
Until we start to think of the #SocialWeb in the same way and stop judging it based on the goals and standards of a corporate platforms, we're fucked.
#bluesky sucks cause it pretends to be both.
