Vendredi, la Maison-Blanche est arrivée sur #Bluesky.
Les équipes gouvernementales y réfléchissent depuis février, sur le ton de l’expérimentation, mais ont pris la décision d’accélérer le mouvement la semaine dernière pour y diffuser des messages relatifs au « #shutdown », c’est-à-dire à la paralysie budgétaire des activités fédérales.

En lieu et place de messages informatifs, tous ont rapidement publié des messages consistant à attaquer les démocrates états-uniens, sur un ton globalement joyeux et une logique de #trolling.

I moved my account to servers run by #Blacksky and then had immediate issues just being able to post or use my account. It may have been during a surge of new users, but it being the only real public viable option at the time means...
#ATProto is mostly #Bluesky, and anything but a network with choices that's #decentralized for most end users.
I'm glad i checked it out, but i'm equally happy i left.

When i went to #Bluesky i was mostly curious about how #ATProto would evolve. 2 years there and the network hasn't evolved much, #decentralization doesn't seem to be something the team really cares about.
So it's ended up essentially another centralized #SocialMedia platform with the possibility for decentralization without much excitement for it.
After the recent b.s. from the CEO and how bad it's gotten overall, it just feels like #Twitter 2.0 and i couldn't be any less interested in that.

It's interesting to look at the analytics for #Mastodon over time. I've used the #fediverse including Mastodon on and off for 8 years. I spent 2 years largely using #Bluesky. I can tell that there's many inactive accounts here, but stats show people are coming still and i'm sure old accounts occasionally still pop in and post.
It's definitely different though than it was 2 years ago with many opting for Bluesky. Honestly, it's good to be back here only with this new account.

Ich bewundere die Geduld eines @palle.bsky.social, der sich damit herumschlagen muss, Usern hier zu erklären, warum er sich nach dem Einstieg der US Regierung auf #bluesky dort zurückzieht und was das wirklich problematische am Verhalten von Jay Graber und der Duldung dieser Accounts ist.

A random thought about an old news article, but this is actually a huge opportunity for Mastodon and other smaller platforms. Meta refuses to add transparency on political ads, enabling misuse in a time where transparency is critical.
Don't be like Meta. Be cool. Act responsibly, do the right thing and build platforms that are safe for the users and the society.
