Um die Straße von Hormus freizubekommen, wollte Trump also alle Kraftwerke und Brücken im Iran auf einen blitzkriegartigen Schlag zerstören. Jetzt droht er sogar mit der totalen Auslöschung des Iran, nicht nur als nationale Entität, sondern in Form eines genozidalen Blitzkriegs. Das klingt nach einem ziemlich unprovozierten, hypermassiven, kataklysmischen nuklearen Flächenbombardement.
Um die Straße von Hormus freizubekommen.
Da fragt man sich: Warum tut das angeblich übermächtige und unbesiegbare US-Militär, vor allem die angeblich übermächtige und unbesiegbare U.S. Navy nicht das Offensichtliche – und schießt die Straße von Hormus frei?
Weil die U.S. Navy nicht unbesiegbar ist. In den Gewässern vorm Iran erst recht nicht.
Ja, die iranische Überwasserflotte besteht nur aus einer Handvoll Korvetten. Aber der Iran hat mehr U-Boote, als die USA überhaupt Wasserfahrzeuge vor Ort haben. Und die USA haben hauptsächlich Überwassermaterial vor Ort, die zur Bekämpfung von U-Booten eher weniger bzw. im Falle von Flugzeugträgern ziemlich überhaupt nicht geeignet sind.
Um also die Straße von Hormus freizuschießen, bräuchte es sämtliche Jagd-U-Boote der U.S. Navy vor Ort. Selbst wenn sie alle schon da wären, würden nicht annähernd alle nach Hause kommen. Die U.S. Navy bräuchte Jahrzehnte, um die zerstörten U-Boot-Kapazitäten zu ersetzen. Außerdem sind U-Boote stählerne Särge. Aus denen kann man sich im Gefecht nicht mehr retten.
Wenn das Pentagon schon mit einigen wenigen toten Soldaten so ein Problem hat, wie sieht es dann aus mit einigen tausend Navy-Angehörigen, die mit ihren U-Booten draufgehen und nicht einmal mehr in die Heimat zurückgeholt werden können?
Mal davon abgesehen: Die USA können es sich gar nicht erlauben, ihre gesamte Jagd-U-Boot-Flotte zur Straße von Hormus zu verlegen. Wenn sie das täten, würden ihnen andere Länder auf der Nase herumtanzen.
Derweil hat der Iran aktuell die Wahl der Mittel, die U.S. Navy aus dem Nahen Osten komplett zu entfernen – und zwar gewaltsam. Torpedos, eigene Raketen, die Mittelstreckenraketen der Huthi. Genügend davon, und die U.S. Navy kann sie nicht mehr abwehren. Und sie haben genügend davon.
Womöglich weiß der iranische Militärgeheimdienst gar etwas, was wir noch nicht wissen. Womöglich können die USA nicht nur keine Bodenkriege, sondern auch keine Seekriege. Womöglich können die USA nur „Kriege aus der Ferne“, bei denen keine eigenen Einheiten gefährdet werden – mit Drohnen, ballistischen Raketen und Marschflugkörpern. Vielleicht noch mit schweren strategischen Langstreckenbombern, wenn sie die Lufthoheit haben.
Das heißt, gegen den Iran können sie nicht einmal den. Die USA und Israel haben wohl schon eine fünfstellige Anzahl an Zielen im Iran angegriffen. Die Kampfstärke des Irans hat darunter aber kaum gelitten, wenn überhaupt.
Gleichzeitig haben sie den Anspruch, jeden Krieg haushoch zu gewinnen – am besten zu null, was aber im Irankrieg jetzt schon nicht mehr möglich ist. Warum sonst wollte Trump europäische NATO-Marineeinheiten als Kanonenfutter im Irankrieg haben? Warum sonst ist das einzige iranische Schiff, das die U.S. Navy bisher versenkt hat, eine Korvette, die zu dem Zeitpunkt weit vom Iran entfernt, nicht gefechtsbereit und somit komplett wehrlos war?
Die USA haben sich von Israel in einen Krieg hineinziehen lassen, auf den sie nicht vorbereitet waren – der Iran aber dafür um so mehr. Ganz offenkundig war sich selbst Bibi Netanyahu nicht im Klaren darüber, wie machtlos der „große Bruder“ gegen den Iran ist. Statt mal eben das Mullah-Regime wegzubomben, stärken beide Länder es sogar noch.
Im Prinzip gibt es jetzt nur noch drei Optionen:
- Totaler konventioneller Krieg. Mit Bodentruppen. Mit Generalmobilmachung. Wenn die USA den gewinnen sollten, wäre es trotzdem ein Pyrrhussieg mit sagenhaft vielen Toten – womöglich auch zu Hause, wenn Trump gegen die dann unvermeidlichen Antikriegsproteste die Nationalgarde mit aller Härte vorgehen wird. Warum er dann glauben dürfte, mit exakt demselben davonzukommen, was er im Iran kritisiert? Weil er Der Gute™ ist.
Außerdem: Wenn das passiert, werden sämtliche Despoten, Autokraten und Diktatoren auf der Welt ihrerseits weitere Kriege gegen freie, demokratische Nationen anzetteln. Die USA – die einzige Nation auf der Welt, die das wirksam verhindern könnte – wären ja im Iran gebunden. - Einen Großteil des US-Atomwaffenarsenals in einem totalen Vernichtungs-Erstschlag auf den Iran niederregnen lassen. Nicht einfach nur als Drohgebärde, sondern um genau den haushohen Sieg einfahren zu können, den Trump haben will.
Damit würden sich die USA zum Pariah machen.
Damit wären sie genau die Bestie, als die sie selbst und Israel den Iran hinstellen. Wohlgemerkt: Selbst wenn die Mullahs die Bombe hätten und sie auf ihre 4.000-km-Mittelstreckenraketen montieren würden, wären sie nicht so bekloppt, Großstädte in NATO-Mitgliedsstaaten damit zu attackieren.
Die Verbündeten der USA im Nahen Osten wären auch nicht sehr amused, denn der Fallout würde sich dort überall ausbreiten. Die radioaktiven Wolken derart heftiger Atomschläge würden wahrscheinlich bis auf russisches und türkisches (NATO-)Territorium ziehen.
Noch dazu würde weltweit die Hemmschwelle für den Einsatz strategischer Atomwaffen gegen zivile Ziele sinken. Nicht nur das, sondern die Atommächte, mit denen der Iran verbündet sind, könnten sich ihrerseits einen massiven nuklearen Gegenschlag gegen die USA vorbehalten, um diese daran zu hindern, weiterhin wie verrückt mit Atombomben um sich zu schmeißen.
Der beste Ausgang dieser Entscheidung wäre noch, wenn die militärische Befehlskette unterhalb von Trump – übrigens völlig regelkonform – diesen – übrigens völlig regelwidrigen – Befehl verweigert und Trump daraufhin endlich seines Amtes enthoben wird. Notfalls, falls alles andere scheitern sollte, mit militärischer Gewalt. - Rückzug, bevor es noch schlimmer wird. Allerdings wird es dann trotzdem schlimmer. Dann werden die Mullahs erst recht die Bombe entwickeln. Und Interkontinentalraketen, die bis in die USA reichen und zuverlässiger sein werden als alles aus nordkoreanischer Fertigung. Und sie werden auch konventionell massiv aufrüsten – mit Geldern aus dem Handel mit China.
Außerdem wären die USA ihren Status als Supermacht und unbezwingbare Weltpolizei ein für allemal los. Einen Krieg, in dem sie ganz genau kein einziges ihrer Kriegsziele wirklich erreicht haben – abgesehen von der Tötung Chameneis, die auch genau das Gegenteil von dem bewirkt, was sie bewirken soll –, können sie nicht als Sieg für sich proklamieren. Im Gegenteil: Nur zu offensichtlichermaßen sind die USA von so einem vergleichsweise kleinen Land in einem Krieg geschlagen worden.
Ob die USA dann noch de facto NATO-Schutzmacht für Europa bleiben oder nicht, ist dann Jacke wie Hose. Denn vor den US-Streitkräften – die im Grunde seit 1953 keinen Krieg mehr richtig gewonnen haben – wird der Russe keine Angst mehr haben.

#UOKiK ukarał #PayPal i firma musi m.in. wypłacić użytkownikom 150% niesłusznie pobranych opłat. Konta już dawno nie mam (usunąłem po jednej ze zmian regulaminu), a dziś otrzymałem 2 e-maile - pierwszy z informacją, że mogę śledzić płatność, a drugi, że muszę wybrać metodę płatności. Wygląda jak #phishing:
- są nie od PayPala, tylko od HyperWallet (choć to należy do PayPala),
- wszystkie linki oczywiście są śledzące, do jakieś bezsensownej domeny (sendgrid.net),
- linki do samego PayPala (do sekcji pomocy) są zwykłym tekstem.
I teraz nie wiem czy rzeczywiście zwracają mi opłaty. Więc albo ktoś postanowił skorzystać z okazji i uruchomić kampanię phishingową, albo jest to mocno nieprofesjonalnie zrobiona komunikacja. Może ten nieprofesjonalizm jest celowy, jeżeli część osób stwierdzi, że dla kilku złotych nie warto ryzykować, to może zauważalnie ograniczyć "straty".

Come forse saprai già, con Friendica possiamo scegliere di scrivere post con il titolo (come su WordPress) e post senza titolo (come su Mastodon). Uno dei problemi più fastidiosi per chi desidera scrivere post con il titolo è il fatto che gli utenti Mastodon leggeranno il tuo post come se fosse costituito dal solo titolo e, due a capi più in basso, dal link al post originale: questo non è di certo il modo miglior per rendere leggibili e interessanti i tuoi post!
Gli utenti Mastodon infatti hanno molti limiti di visualizzazione, ma sono pur sempre la comunità più grande del Fediverso e perciò è importante che vedano correttamente i vostri post: poter contare sulla loro visibilità è un'opportunità per aggiungere ulteriori possibilità di interazioni con altre persone.
Fortunatamente, con le ultime release di Friendica abbiamo la possibilità di modificare un'impostazione per rendere perfettamente leggibili anche i post con il titolo. Ecco come fare:
A) dal proprio account bisogna andare alla pagina delle impostazioni e, da lì, alla voce "Social Network" al link poliverso.org/settings/connect…
B) Selezionando la prima sezione "Impostazione media sociali" e scorrendo in basso si può trovare la voce "Article Mode", con un menu a cascataC) Delle tre voci disponibili bisogna scegliere "Embed the title in the body"
Ecco che adesso i nostri post saranno completamente leggibili da Mastodon!

What gets me is how this flips the centralized registry model. Agents discovering each other through ActivityPub federation, the same way Mastodon instances already find each other.
Decentralized agent discovery using protocols that handle federation at scale. The plumbing is right there.

For the past few weeks I've essentially always had dv running in a split pane in my terminal, and most of the time after viewing the diff, I commit and push.

Wie unsinnig das ist kann man leicht prüfen: Es gibt KEIN einziges Mini-Atom-Kraftwerk. Und, es wird auch in den nächsten Jahren auch Keines geben.
