I just #reported a very cheesy account, completely AI generated (also the comments). They wanted to collect people's #DNA (and you had to pay 20 something $ for it!). it was intended to give the impression being something official from the EU. At best, it was a scam; at worst, extremely dangerous.

Trzech popularnych twórców z YouTube’a wytoczyło ciężkie działa przeciwko firmie z Cupertino. Zarzucają oni Apple, że korporacja miała nielegalnie pobierać ich chronione prawem autorskim materiały wideo, omijając wewnętrzne mechanizmy platformy. Cel? Trenowanie własnych modeli sztucznej inteligencji.
Jak informuje serwis MacRumors (powołując się na dokumenty sądowe), do sądu federalnego w Kalifornii wpłynął pozew zbiorowy przeciwko twórcy iPhone’a. Za oskarżeniami stoją kanały h3h3 Productions, MrShortGameGolf oraz Golfholics. Sprawa rzuca światło na to, w jaki sposób technologiczni giganci pozyskują gigantyczne zbiory danych niezbędne do rozwoju nowoczesnych usług AI.
Kwestia kontroli odtwarzania treści
Główny zarzut twórców dotyczy naruszenia amerykańskiej ustawy o prawach autorskich (DMCA). Według pozwu, choć ich filmy są publicznie dostępne do oglądania na platformie, Apple miało omijać sposób, w jaki YouTube kontroluje odtwarzanie treści. Zamiast korzystać ze standardowego strumieniowania, systemy korporacji miały masowo pobierać pliki na własne serwery, by wykorzystać je w procesie uczenia maszynowego.
Twórcy twierdzą w pozwie, że sukces finansowy najnowszych, generatywnych produktów Apple nie byłby w ogóle możliwy bez ich autorskiego wkładu w postaci tysięcy godzin nagrań.
Problem całej Doliny Krzemowej
Warto jednak zaznaczyć, że Apple nie jest jedyną firmą, która znalazła się na celowniku wspomnianych youtuberów. Ci sami twórcy złożyli niemal identyczne pozwy przeciwko innym gigantom technologicznym, w tym firmom takim jak Meta, Nvidia, ByteDance oraz Snap.
Sprawa może być istotna dla całej branży, ponieważ dotyczy fundamentalnego pytania: czy publicznie dostępne treści można legalnie i bez dodatkowej zgody wykorzystywać do trenowania modeli AI. Branża sztucznej inteligencji mierzy się z coraz większym kryzysem prawnym – wcześniej podobne procesy wytoczono firmom OpenAI oraz Microsoft za wykorzystywanie artykułów prasowych. Apple nie skomentowało sprawy do momentu publikacji tego materiału.
