My new #SnekStudio mod copyTrigger can be used to set up a variety of triggers (redeems, chat and WebSocket Messages), filter text contents and even use regular expressions.

Then, you can use Godot’s Expressions to do all sort of things: Trigger other redeems, call functions directly on other mods, use variables and regex groups that were captured. I’ve already used these to set up new and old functionality without relying on hardcoding everything.

Was mir beim noch zu wenig thematisiert wird ist der finanzielle Aspekt.

Wenn ihr von proprietärer auf freie Software umsteigt, dann schaut bitte auch (im Rahmen eurer Möglichkeiten) wie ihr die freien Projekte unterstützen könnt.

Insbesondere wenn durch den Umstieg Lizenzkosten wegfallen, sollte man erwägen von dem gesparten Geld was an die Projekte abzugeben.

liberapay.com/ ist eine für diesen Zweck sehr gut geeignete Platform.

Social-Media-Verbot für Kinder ist in etwa so als würde man Autofahrer einfach machen lassen was sie wollen, dann feststellen, daß ständig Kinder totgefahren werden und dann aber nicht die Autofahrer reglementieren sondern ein Kinder-Hausarrest-Gesetz erlassen, damit sie nicht mehr draußen herumlaufen und überfahren werden.

Ansich ist das eine gute Analogie. Sie funktioniert aber in Deutschland leider nicht, weil das in Deutschland quasi der Status quo ist.

Lovely to see alt text being added as a feature for banners and avatars on Mastodon, but I think it would make more sense to allow a full 250 characters instead of only 150 as it currently stands. This would let people describe their skin tone, hair, what they're wearing, and what might be around them. It's a feature I really love about GoToSocial though, and I think it'll really improve the profile look and feel for all users as it will free up profile labels that are currently used for banner/avatar alt text. :)
