Today no guinea pigs, and no arts, but a little #minecraft experiment! This is the area 'Bergstrasse', South Hessia, remodeled in minecraft with simulated flooding of the river Rhine. Of course, I did not model it by hand, but took an image from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM), freely available from NASA. The tile is 1 degree by 1 degree, 92 meters resolution. I wrote a little #python script to build the landscape, 1 block = 92m for simplicity. Computer was busy for two hours.

Je suis encore néophyte en #autohébergement donc je m'interroge un peu sur les meilleures pratiques. Imaginons que j'ai deux Raspberry Pi, l'un avec #Yunohost pour pouvoir gérer la plupart de mes apps, l'autre avec une Debian pour des web services Python.
Lequel des deux devrait être le point d'entrée pour les requêtes sur le port 80 de ma box, ou autrement dit, lequel des deux devrait servir de reverse proxy pour l'autre ?
Je me doute que les deux sont possibles sans trop de problèmes, mais jusqu'à présent j'ai toujours tout fait sur une seule machine, et j'aimerais bien profiter de la simplicité de Yunohost, donc je me manque surtout d'expérience...

Es ist eine massive Fehlberichterstattung der westlichen Medien, wenn behauptet wird, der #Iran breche die Waffenruhe. Die #USA haben ausdrücklich den 10 Punkten zugestimmt und kurz darauf einzelne Punkte als nicht vereinbart dargestellt. Daraufhin hat der Iran die Straße von #Hormus wieder geschlossen.
Israel war offenbar nicht an dem Prozess beteiligt, also ist es zunächst unschädlich, dass Israel und der Iran sich weiterhin gegenseitig beschossen haben.
Allerdings obliegt es aufgrund der #Waffenruhe nun den USA, auf Israel einzuwirken, die Angriffe sowohl auf den Iran als auch auf den #Libanon vollständig einzustellen. Die USA hätte entsprechende Hebel, um ihren Verbündeten #Israel davon abzuhalten.

It occurred to me, as I often do, to browse the public timeline of a low-volume Mastodon instance with few users (I won't mention it). I like to see what the topics are like in instances with public feeds. In this case, as happens in many, I saw that there was an account that had published 43 posts in the last 24 hours, and their posts made up almost 70% of the feed, or maybe even more. I can't understand it; why would someone post so compulsively? (Well, I think I do understand, but I find it hard to accept.) I would consider it outright spam, especially because that person's obsessive focus becomes annoying. I know it can be muted and blocked, but my thought is that even though Mastodon is a much quieter space than other corporate, commercial, or algorithm-driven platforms, there can still be a lot of noise. I'm getting older, and I'm less tolerant of human mental noise...
