Ist die künstliche Intelligenz eine Hilfe beim Webdesign? Vor zweieinhalb Jahren beantwortete ich die Frage mit einem Nein. Vor einem halben Jahr sah es gänzlich anders aus: GPT-5 half mir, lästige Wordpress-Probleme zu beseitigen – nicht nur eines, sondern vier an der Zahl.
Ich komme auf das Thema zurück, weil ich ein neuerliches Erfolgserlebnis hatte – und zwar eines, mit dem ich überhaupt nicht gerechnet hatte. Ich hatte meine Anfrage in der festen Überzeugung gestellt, dass mir ChatGPT mitteilen würde, mein Anliegen sei mit vernünftigem Aufwand nicht umsetzbar. Doch die KI behauptete, die Lösung sei ein Klacks. Natürlich hielt ich das erst für die übliche Wichtigtuerei, die wir uns alle von den Sprachmodellen gewohnt sind. Doch eine halbe Stunde später musste ich zugeben: Es war keine Lüge und keine Halluzination gewesen.
Zumindest nicht im Kern. Zwar schaffte es ChatGPT nicht, mir auf Anhieb den richtigen PHP-Code bereitzustellen. Auch Claude scheiterte mit der gleichen Aufgabe. Doch indem ich in einem dritten Anlauf Claude den von ChatGPT hergestellten Code unter die Nase rieb und fragte, was man daran verbessern könnte, kam ich zum Ziel.
Der Missstand: Das Bild steht am Anfang des Blogposts, die Legende kommt erst am Ende
Und darum geht es:
Als Journalist lernt man, dass jede Abbildung eine Legende braucht. Das gilt auch hier fürs Blog, zumal ich oft Symbolfotos verwende, die nicht selbsterklärend sind. Und es gehört zum guten Ton, eine Quellenangabe zu machen. Ich empfehle den Credit auch vorbehaltlos für freies Bildmaterial von Pexels, Unsplash und ähnlichen Anbietern. Er ist dort zwar nicht vorgeschrieben. Doch es ist ungemein hilfreich, nachvollziehen zu können, mit welchen Lizenzbedingungen wir ein Foto verwenden. Es gibt nämlich SEO-Schlaumeier, die versuchen, diesbezügliche Unsicherheiten auszunutzen, um einen Backlink abzustauben.
Bei Bildvermerken und -legenden ist Wordpress kein leuchtendes Vorbild. Wir können zwar die entsprechenden Informationen in der Datenbank ablegen. In der Mediathek existieren Felder für Titel, Untertitel, eine ausführliche Beschreibung und den Alt-Text für blinde und sehbehinderte Surferinnen und Surfer. Doch diese Informationen kommen nur lückenhaft zum Zug: Der Untertitel erscheint, wenn ein Bild innerhalb des Blogposts platziert wird. Bei Beitragsbildern¹ erscheint er allerdings nicht.
Zumindest nicht bei den Themes, die ich nutze. Falls es Ausnahmen geben sollte, habe ich sie bei meiner (frustrierenden) Suche nicht gefunden. Deswegen entschied ich mich seinerzeit, die Beitragsbilder mit einer Angabe am Ende des Beitrags zu beschriften, und das Untertitel-Feld jeweils leer zu lassen.
Ein Versäumnis, das sich überhaupt nicht rächt
Kann die KI diesen Missstand beheben?
Meine Vermutung war, dass dafür diese Angabe aus dem Beitrag in die Mediathek überführt werden müsste. Ich rechnete mit der Auskunft, dafür brauche es entweder ein kompliziertes und fehleranfälliges Skript, eine tagelange Session eines KI-Agenten oder aber viel Geduld und Handarbeit. Zeit und Geduld hatte ich weder für das eine, noch für das andere und vor allem nicht für das Dritte.
Trotzdem stellte ich die Anfrage an ChatGPT und bekam die Behauptung zurückgeliefert, das sei ein Klacks. Weil die vorgeschlagene Methode mir einleuchtend erschien, probierte ich sie aus. Und siehe da: Nach drei Anläufen kam das Happy End.
Die Lösung fusst auf einem WordPress-Filter. Er kommt während der Ausführung zum Zug, also dann, wenn der Server eine Einzelseite mit einem Blogpost ausliefert:
- Über eine eigene Funktion (hinterlegt in functions.php) wird beim Laden des Posts der Credit aus dem Beitrag extrahiert und als Variable gespeichert. Das ist möglich, weil ich die Angabe konsistent mit «Beitragsbild» einleite und kursiv formatiere.
- Um eine Doppelung zu vermeiden, wird der Bildvermerk für die Darstellung im Browser entfernt.
- Auf der Einzelseite (je nach Theme in der Datei single.php oder content-single.php) wird der Inhalt der Variable als Beschriftung für das Beitragsbild ausgegeben.
- Eine Anpassung der Stildatei sorgt für eine konsistente Formatierung der Bildlegenden.
Einleuchtend, oder? Der Erfolg steht und fällt mit dem Timing. Wichtig ist, dass die Bildlegende ausgelesen und die Variable befüllt wird, bevor die Anzeige des Beitrags erfolgt. Dieses Problem stellte ChatGPT anhand des (nicht funktionierenden) Codes von Claude fest, worauf Claude mit dem entsprechenden Hinweis einen einwandfreien Vorschlag machte. Ich stellte dafür jeweils den relevanten Teil der gerenderten Seite aus dem Blog und den relevanten Abschnitt aus content-single.php zur Verfügung. (Natürlich jeweils aus dem Child-Theme.)
Darf man es Vibe-Coding nennen?
Fazit: Das ist ziemlich grossartig! Auf diese Lösung wäre früher nur jemand gekommen, der selbst grosse Wordpress-Erfahrung besitzt oder gewillt ist, einen Profi anzustellen und zu bezahlen. Die KI versetzt Webbastlerinnen wie mich in die Lage, eine solche Änderung in Eigenregie umzusetzen. Das Vibe-Coding zu nennen, wäre hochgegriffen: Ohne ein grundlegendes Verständnis für Wordpress – wo sind welche Dateien zu finden und was ist ihre wesentliche Funktion – klappt es nicht.
Zumindest vorerst. Wenn wir uns vor Augen führen, wie rasant der Fortschritt beim Vibe-Coding in den letzten Monaten war, rechne ich damit, in ein paar Monaten in der Lage zu sein, mein Theme von Grund auf umzukrempeln.

I'm not sure if you saw the video or just read my comment, but the stuff in the video... was really shocking to me, it was even worse than I'd known it to be. Like, for example, it was a surprise to me that there is a hard pushback against things like preferential voting over there. I am disabled and Bipolar, on SSDI, I have severe anxiety and bipolar, PTSD, ADD/ADHD. I do not drive. I am poor. I struggle to make ends meet, and I have many unmet needs. I need help to get a home where I can keep until I die. I don’t want to worry about what I am going to eat, I don’t want to go to be hungry anymore, I don’t want to worry about the decline of my mental health, because of lack of care. If I could raise ~$3 million in a rather short amount of time, I could obtain my own property and home, whether I buy a house and property or vacant property and build my forever home. My realistic ideal budget for property and home along with the necessary things that go with a home, is currently around $500,000 and that is very doable. But lets just say to create my forever home, furnish it stock it with food and all the stuff one needs to live, cost $1.5 million I would still have $1.5 million left in the bank which would give me $37,500 a year for the next 40 years of my life, which is an increase of $25,000 a year over my current $12,000 a year. Which would allow me to cover all my property taxes, utilities, maintenance, food and groceries and basic life costs, and not have to ever worry about what I am going to eat, or where I will sleep and for how long.

Good statement by Lewis.
Before you say Avi Lewis is speaking in some sort of "extreme" way for the NDP, his position stated today is nearly identical to the one voiced by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez - of the much more centrist than it sounds "Socialist Party of Spain".
Sanchez goes so far as to suggest the EU suspend Israel's Association Agreement with the EU.
