Recently, someone linked to a video on OK.ru. For me, I could only get an error in the video pane in my web browser. After trying Chrome (actually, privacy-friendly Helium), YtDownloader, YouWee, jDownloader 2, & Video Download Helper, which all failed, I finally remembered Cobalt.tools, input the URL... and it worked!
And of course with a download, I didn't have any ads etc to worry about.

“Er gebeuren nu dingen in de VS die ik eerder in China heb meegemaakt”, zegt Jan Melissen, die mede de redactie over het boek voerde. Hij doet onderzoek naar diplomatie aan de universiteiten van Leiden en Antwerpen.
Melissen legt graag uit wat er gebeurde, al wil hij geen namen van de instelling of de auteur noemen, om de betrokkenen niet te schaden. De instelling in kwestie had volledig meegewerkt met de auteur. Het hoofdstuk was ook al kant-en-klaar voordat Trump werd beëdigd. Die ging vervolgens vanaf dag één tekeer tegen ‘DEI’, zoals het streven naar diversiteit, gelijkheid en inclusie in de Verenigde Staten bekend staat.
Dat had zijn weerslag op de betrokken instelling. “Die wilde niet meer dat er geschreven werd over hun werk tijdens het Biden-presidentschap”, vertelt Melissen. “Hun advocaat kreeg de opdracht ‘doe wat nodig is om het tegen te houden’.”
