Według doniesień agencji Bloomberg, Apple rozważa strategiczną i potencjalnie rewolucyjną zmianę dla swojego asystenta głosowego.
Firma z Cupertino ma prowadzić rozmowy z liderami branży AI – OpenAI oraz Anthropic – na temat wykorzystania ich zaawansowanych modeli językowych do napędzania nowej, znacznie potężniejszej wersji Siri. Taki ruch byłby przyznaniem, że dotychczasowe, wewnętrzne prace nad rozwojem asystenta nie przynoszą oczekiwanych rezultatów.
Decyzja o potencjalnym zwrocie w stronę zewnętrznych partnerów ma być podyktowana rosnącą presją ze strony konkurencji. W dobie dynamicznego rozwoju generatywnej sztucznej inteligencji, Siri, niegdyś pionierka w dziedzinie asystentów głosowych, zaczęła wyraźnie odstawać od rywali, takich jak Google Assistant czy Alexa, która również korzysta z technologii Anthropic. Plany związane z gruntowną przebudową Siri w ramach platformy Apple Intelligence napotkały na opóźnienia, a zapowiadane nowości mogą pojawić się dopiero w 2026 roku lub później.
Rozmowy z twórcami ChatGPT (OpenAI) oraz Claude (Anthropic) są na wczesnym etapie i nie podjęto jeszcze żadnych wiążących decyzji. Według Bloomberga, Apple poprosiło obie firmy o przygotowanie wersji ich modeli, które mogłyby działać w ramach bezpiecznej infrastruktury chmurowej Apple, tzw. Private Cloud Compute. Ma to zapewnić, że ewentualna współpraca nie naruszy fundamentalnych dla Apple zasad prywatności użytkowników.
Dla użytkowników taka zmiana mogłaby oznaczać skokowy wzrost możliwości Siri. Asystent stałby się znacznie bardziej konwersacyjny, inteligentny i zdolny do wykonywania złożonych zadań wewnątrz aplikacji. Co ciekawe, Apple już teraz integruje ChatGPT z Siri w ramach Apple Intelligence, ale jest to funkcja dodatkowa, z której użytkownik musi świadomie skorzystać. Nowy plan zakładałby znacznie głębszą integrację i potencjalne zastąpienie własnych modeli Apple jako głównego „mózgu” asystenta.
Potencjalna współpraca z zewnętrznym dostawcą AI byłaby dla Apple, firmy znanej z doktryny tworzenia wszystkiego we własnym zakresie, monumentalną zmianą strategii. Świadczyłoby to o przyznaniu, że w najważniejszym wyścigu technologicznym ostatnich lat, firma została w tyle i musi szukać pomocy na zewnątrz, aby nadgonić peleton. Decyzja, którą ostatecznie podejmie Tim Cook, zdefiniuje przyszłość nie tylko Siri, ale całej strategii AI giganta z Cupertino.
Paradoksalnie dla nas głęboki lifting silnika Siri poprzez adaptację w nim technologii OpenAI czy Anthropic potencjalnie oznaczałby, że Siri wreszcie nauczy się polskiego.

I'm in the UK and these days, every time I attend a health appontment it's inevitably followed by a 'how did we do' type text. Because I've lost trust in the usual stated 'reasons' for them asking (such as to 'improve' their systems) I never reply. I tend to have this image of AI being fed, and or a future time when the NHS is sold down the river. I am not going to aid them in that.

I also fell for the rabbits jumping on a trampoline on #TikTok at first. It was only when the algorithm then played me a whole collection of other animals in the same setting that I became suspicious. This could only be AI-generated.
Something similar has happened to me before with animal families, where predators and prey cuddled together.
There are also videos with absurd tsunami waves (because of the recent tsunamis).
There was a kind of campaign with absurd "animals" that were so bizarre that they could only have been generated - in ultra-realistic settings.
Of course, I don't know when I did not realize that something was generated. And that's the real problem: the loss of trust in your own judgment. Precisely that is the aim of #propaganda.

Ich bin auf #TikTok zuerst auch auf die Kaninchen hereingefallen, die auf einem Trampolin springen. Erst als der Algorithmus mir danach gleich eine ganze Sammlung anderer Tiere im gleichen Setting einspielte wurde ich stutzig. Das konnte nur KI-generiert sein.
Ähnliches ist mir vorher schon mit Tierfamilien passiert, wo Raub- und Beutetiere miteinander kuschelten.
Es gibt auch Videos mit absurden Tsunamiwellen (wegen der jüngsten Tsunamis).
Es gab eine Art Kampagne mit absurden „Tieren“, die so skurril waren, dass sie nur generiert gewesen sein konnten - in ultrarealistischen Settings.
Wann ich es eben nicht gemerkt hab, ob etwas generiert war, das weiß ich natürlich nicht. Und das ist das eigentliche Problem: der Verlust an Vertrauen in die eigene Urteilsfähigkeit. Genau das ist das Ziel von #Propaganda.
