In #Brandenburg wurde die Bezahlkarte eingeführt. Geflüchteten aus Rathenow fehlt nun Geld für Essen und das Deutschlandticket. Überall im Land wird von Problemen berichtet.
‚Jérémie deutet immer wieder auf die Mahnung, die auf dem Tisch in der Gemeinschaftsunterkunft in Rathenow, Kreis Havelland, liegt. Ein Betrag von 66 Euro ist offen, das Deutschlandticket vom Juni plus Mahngebühren. Im Mai hatte der Kameruner die Überweisung noch über sein Bankkonto getätigt. Seit Juni sind die ihm als alleinstehenden Geflüchteten zur Verfügung stehenden 441 Euro auf der Bezahlkarte verbucht. Doch über die zugehörige App können Geflüchtete im Havelland bisher nicht überweisen…‘

Doing a little iterative code development in micropython on an emulated m68k mac... I might not be so happy with the loading time if a real floppy was involved, but in an emulator it's heckin' snappy.

Tag 7 in #Graubünden bedeutete leider Aufbruch nach dem Frühstück. Weit gekommen bin ich zunächst nicht, da in #Flums Zwischenstopp für eine Radtour am #Walensee gemacht.
Bedauerlicherweise musste ich dabei dann aus zeitlichen Gründen den Rückzug antreten, bevor ich den #Obersee erreichte. Geht halt nix über vernünftige Planung... Trotzdem ein würdiger Abschluss einer schönen Woche in der #Schweiz.

In terms of Threads account portability, @davidimel's excellent question, and @pcottle's response: Mosseri was very candid about the goal here in his original quote in July 2023:
“I think we might be a more compelling platform for creators, particularly for the newer creators who are more and more savvy, if we are a place where you don’t have to feel like you have to trust us forever.”
And his Mosseri's December 2023 quote is similar:
"Eventually, it should also be possible to enable creators to leave Threads and take their followers with them to another app/server") is along the same lines."
As I said in Embrace, Extend, and Exploit: Meta's plan for ActivityPub, Mastodon and the Fediverse
Hmm, "eventually" is doing a lot of work there. How long will it take, and real will the story turn out to be? It's hard to know. For one thing, Mosseri has said that Threads' current plan is to "explicitly opt in to your content being available on other servers"; while that's good from a privacy and safety perspective, if they follow through it would also mean that creators to leaving won't be able to take all their followers with them. [If somebody's following you on Threads but hasn't opted in to federation, then when you move to an instance in the real fediverse they won't be following you any more.] And until "eventually" happens, creators can't actually move any of their followers to the fediverse. So we shall see.
But from Meta's perspective, so what? As Mosseri says, the goal here is to make people feel like they don't have to trust Meta forever. It's a good story, and that by itself has a lot of value at this point. It's getting favorable coverage in the tech press, too."

Der österreichische Überwachungsstaat möchte seine Bevölkerung mit Staatstrojanern überwachen und eine #Registrierungspflicht und damit ein Ende der Anonymität für das Internet durchsetzen. Dazu soll die "ID Austria" eingesetzt werden, was ein weiteres Beispiel dafür ist, dass "digitale Identitäten" nicht wie gerne propagiert den Alltag der Menschen erleichtern sollen, sondern dass sie den Herrschenden vielfältige neue Wege zur Massenüberwachung und Kontrolle der Bevölkerung bieten.
Auch in #Deutschland wird in Kreisen der #CDU die Forderung nach Klarnamenpflichten im Internet wieder lauter. Während Klarnamen- und Registrierungspflichten keine wirksamen Mittel gegen Hetzereien im #Internet darstellen, eignen sie sich hingegen u.a. sehr gut als Abschreckungsmittel gegen die Meinungsäußerungen von Minderheiten und marginalisierten Menschen. U.a. Deshalb fordern Konservative und andere Autoritäre immer wieder auch diese Form der Kontrolle.

Threads is adding fediverse content to your social feeds
The Threads team at Meta has spent the past year working on supporting the broader fediverse and social web, and is launching its biggest integrations yet: a new dedicated feed for fediverse posts, and a way to search for fediverse users inside of Threads.
Starting today, if you’ve turned on fediverse sharing in Threads, there will be a new section at the top of your Following feed that takes you to a list of posts from folks you follow on Mastodon, Flipboard, or wherever else you’ve connected your Threads account. It’s very much a separate feed, which Meta software engineer Peter Cottle tells me is deliberate.

Quite a few have blocked #Threads. See #FediPact, though I don't know if the list is still actively maintained and up-to-date.
Other than that #Meta has taken strategic position on the #ActivityPub #Fediverse, and effectively hold the cards. Opinions vary on this.

(7) Nach den ersten 1000km mit diversen #Ladestopp's zeigt sich, dass in unserer Gegend die alten ad-hoc-AC-Ladestationen von ALDI für 29c/kWh am erstrebenswertesten sind.
Leider ist der nächste mindestens 15km weit weg. Mit seiner sehr großen PV-Fläche erscheint das laden dort an sonnigen Tagen aber wie eine echte win-win-Situation.
Die #Ladeplanung erleichtern uns nun ein paar Filter für #EVMap (von f-droid mit den Daten von GoingElectric.de und chargeprice.app):
1. Für "günstiges" #AdHocLaden als "Verbünde": Aldi Nord, Aldi Süd, Edeka, IZIVIA (Fast), JET Strom, Ladegrün, Stark Energy, TEAG Mobil und Virta (mit den Anschlüssen auf CCS und Typ2 reduziert).
2. Relativ vergleichbar mit der Landkarte bei den Stadtwerken München scheint ein Filter mit den "Ladetarifen": "Ladenetz Ladekarte" und "SW München Ladekarte" zu sein (von uns "Anschluss" auf nur Typ2=49c/kWh eingeschränkt) und
3. für den 62c(52c) <4h Tarif von #ewego der "Ladetarif": "EWE Go app / Ladetarif" (nur bei DC billiger als SWM und daher Anschluss auf nur CCS eingeschränkt).
So lässt sich #datensparsam als ein Kompromiss aus #Datenschutz, Komfort und Preisersparnis mit nur einer #FOSS #OpenSource App bereits ein schneller Überblick gewinnen.
Die Landkarte der SW München habe ich für alle Fälle zusätzlich als Brave-Lesezeichen auf den Homescreen gelegt.
(Das Thema stations-e ist teilweise bereits oben in Teil 6 angesprochen und bekommt auf Wunsch noch einen zusätzlichen Tröt.)
Weitere #datenschutzfreundlich'e günstige Angebote haben wir für unseren Anwendungsfall (#Freiburg + #Schwarzwald und s.o.2 im Themenfaden) bisher nicht gefunden.
