Got suspended from #pinterest today. I has been declared to be a spammer or whatever. And this is with simple fact that I only pinned to my collections content that was already there.
I suspect that this is just a punishment for few pins with #plusSize women. No nudity, no porn - just heavier women dressed in various outfits.

Took me about 5 hours so far. Very much of this is unfinished. The lighting effect in the sky is too smooth and not bright-looking enough, there are no cherry blossoms, the clouds aren't right (and I think are supposed to be clusters of cherry blossoms in the original work), the lanterns aren't finished or hanging off anything, many branches are still missing, and the main branch isn't done, but I was intending it to be a pretty quick and rough reproduction, so I'm happy enough with where it is at this moment.
I may return to it at some point to work on it more and improve it, but not anytime soon.

Die sogenannten "Mütter und Väter" des Grundgesetzes hatten ein sehr klares Verständnis von deutscher #Staatsräson. Die meisten Deutschen, die ich kenne, können sie auswendig aufsagen:
"Die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar. Sie zu achten und zu schützen ist Verpflichtung aller staatlichen Gewalt."
Margot #Friedländer sagte es so: »Es gibt kein christliches Blut, es gibt kein jüdisches Blut, es gibt kein arabisches Blut – es gibt nur menschliches Blut. Seid Menschen.«
Es ist deprimierend, dass deutsche "Staatsräson" heute definiert wird als Solidarität mit mutmaßlichen Kriegsverbrechern und Völkermördern. Mit Staaten, nicht mehr mit Menschen.
Und dass die moralisch verkommene Politik-"Elite", einschließlich der @Bundesregierung dem Wahn verfallen ist, man könne sich das getrocknete Blut eines historischen Genozids mit dem frischen eines neuen von den Händen waschen.
Billiges verbales "Bedauern" und "Mahnen" und "Fordern" dieser scheinheiligen Verantwortungsträger geht einher mit weiteren Lieferungen von Material und Waffen. Mit dem Verzicht auf Sanktionen. Mit dem Denunzieren aller, die Konsequenzen für die Kriegsverbrechen fordern. Mit dem ausdrücklichen Wunsch, den mutmaßlichen Kriegsverbrecher #Netanjahu nach #Deutschland einzuladen.
Unser Land hat nicht den leisesten Begriff davon, wie es dafür außerhalb der eigenen Blase von der Welt beurteilt wird.

Socialhome v0.22.0 released, with a completely new UI!
This is a massive milestone for the #Socialhome project, one that could not have been possible without the hard work of @alain@jase.social. If you have followed the Socialhome project, you'll know that Alain has been responsible for most of the development of project in the recent years. This includes rewriting the #federation library to ensure #ActivityPub support is first class. More recently Alain has taken the challenge of rewriting the frontend, which has fallen into a rather poor state over the years.
The new UI work is actually a coordination of two people working many years apart. Way back years ago @lightone@mastodon.xyz made some UI designs for a new Socialhome UI (thank you! <3). While the designs were not implemented for years, they were not forgotten. In 2023 Alain jumped to the challenge and started the full UI rewrite of the Socialhome frontend. This UI has now matured into a state that it is good for daily usage - which is the main focus of this release!
Currently, a Socialhome installation will still default to the old UI. If you do want to try out the new UI for example on socialhome.network, go to the account settings and toggle the "New UI" flag. Going back is also easy, should the new UI cause unforeseen issues (please do report!).
If you are a server admin, see the new UI installation instructions for how to add the new UI to your instance.
This is not all! The releases of v0.21.0 and v0.22.0 also contain a bunch of other changes and fixes. Most notably;
- ActivityPub profiles are now richer, including bio and a larger picture, in addition to an avatar.
- Many new API's to support the new UI, including session authentication, search, media upload, content fetching over uuid, profile organize and profile settings.
- Whoosh has been replaced with Xapian as a search index backend.

Also, last but not least, we moved from GitLab to Codeberg. Check out the new repositories.
Installing and updating
We recommend using the Docker images (amd64/arm64).

What is Socialhome?
Socialhome is best described as a federated personal profile with social networking functionality. Users can create rich content using Markdown. All content can be pinned to the user profile and all content will federate to contacts in the federated social web. Federation happens using the ActivityPub and Diaspora protocols.

For those who don't know the size of the problem:
In 2006 I bought a new [entry level] Computer with 256 MB of RAM and a single-core P4 Celeron with 2,8 GHz.
This thing ran #WindowsXP and #NeedForSpeedMostWanted just fine.
Nowadays it would crash trying to open #Slack even on a minimalist #Linux distro like @bunsenlabs in @dillo, a lightweight browser ...
And now imagine that some folks have to use #Slack, #MicrosoftTeams, #Telegram, #Signal, #WhatApp, #WeChat, #QQ and #LineMessenger at the same time on their machine, and you can imagine that this will make entry-level desktops already scream harder than if someone were to loop the Lost Coast benchmark on them...
- The #bloat of modern #WebApps is just the socially accepted equivalent to #Cryptojacking desktops and driving some *phat #SuperUselessVehicle just to get less than a kg of groceries at a walking distance supermarket.
Everywhere else we'd not accept such a #bloatware IRL.
- So why should we accept #obscene|ly #WastefulComputing*?

Like: There's not much of a technical reason something similar to @zulip 's #TUI - based client could exist for the aformentioned platfirms:
- Obviously #proprietary platforms - (just like #Shitter even before #ApartheidEmeraldBoy took over and speedrun it into becoming a #NaziBar) - will try to passive-aggressively stifle such #clients, but still...

One thing that really pisses me off personally is the #regression in terms of #Messenger #Apps.
My personal distaste and dislike for #proprietary, #SingleVendor & #SingleProvider #services like #Signal ¹ ², #Telegram, #Discord ³ ⁴, #WhatsApp 5, #Slack, #MicrosoftTeams, etc. aside:
WHY is there no #CrossProvider #Messenger to handle that shite?
WHY does everyone of these shitty providers think people want to download their #bloated #WebApp that takes up triple digit Megabytes if not entire Gigabytes and will gobble up all the #RAM and #CPU each of them can??
This problem ain't new and already got solved for corporate social media ages ago! (Not to mention actually good messengers!)
I mean
API 0- style access because obviously none of the platforms will allow, endorse or support such an endeavour and actively fight the developers and users !
So yeah, consider this a call for a @gajim / #Gajim or @pidgin / #Pidgin for garbage platforms!
Cuz back in the day we had way worse messengers yet people actually made #AIM, #ICQ, #MSN, #QQ, #IRC & #XMPP work just fine from one single "phat" client!

Attention everyone on Mastodon! There's a scam making the rounds where malicious actors impersonate moderators or admins. They send private messages or make posts that mimic notifications, claiming that your account needs verification. These messages often include a link for you to "complete the verification process."
⚠️ This is a Scam!
Your server admin will never ask you to click a link to verify your account.
No other admin from any other server will either, even if they appear to be part of the main Mastodon team.
If your account is suspended, you won't receive a message about it. Instead, you'll see a notification upon logging in that your account is temporarily suspended.
How to Identify the Scam:
Fake admin accounts often use names containing "moderator" or "admin," but this doesn't mean they are legitimate.
Legitimate admins or instance owners usually have a badge or marking on their profile indicating their role.
What to Do:
If you receive a message or post urging you to click a link to verify your account, report it immediately.
If you have any doubts about your account status, contact your server admin or moderation team directly.
To verify the authenticity of an admin or instance owner, visit the "About" page of your instance. This page typically lists contact information for the real team administering your instance.
Always be cautious when interacting with accounts claiming to be from Mastodon or your instance's admin team.
