"It would be easy for me to assume that Greene, like all MAGA Republicans, is incapable of finding common ground with a constituent like me. But I would be wrong.

Because in the past week, she became the only Republican in the House of Representatives to condemn her colleague, Rep. Randy Fine (R-Florida), for telling Israel it should “starve away” in Gaza, whose population includes more than 1 million children.

Reflecting on Fine’s remarks, Greene wrote that she “can only imagine how Florida’s 6th district feels now that their Representative, that they were told to vote for, openly calls for starving innocent people and children.”

Then she went further, voicing a truth that is almost unsayable in the modern Republican Party.

“It’s the most truthful and easiest thing to say that Oct 7th in Israel was horrific and all hostages must be returned,” she wrote on X, a sentiment that 100 percent of her colleagues would agree with. Not so, the rest of that sentence: “but so is the genocide, humanitarian crisis, and starvation happening in Gaza.”"

I'd like to mention how good it feels to participate in the #fediverse (Mastodon/Lemmy in particular), with only a small time investment to curate what I want to see and engage with.

It Just Works™.

It turns the incessant deluge of garbage into a conscious and easily reversible pull-operation, based on my current interests, and that is very much empowering, as every tool should be.

I started out by scrolling through my instance's toots, where I rightfully expected some old friends, like-minded and interesting people to scroll by and who I want to hear more of, and through their boosts I steadily find more and more interesting people and expand, slowly and deliberately.

Not bullish on hashtags, though. I prefer following interesting people rather than topics, and so far I do not fear missing out on anything. Seems like building a bubble works better than being groomed into one by an entity with ulterior motives.

Feels a lot like 2000's Internet 'round these parts. I consider that a good thing.

Раньше домены, созданные для мошеннической активности, содержали страницу авторизации портала «Госуслуги», но для увеличения времени обнаружения таких страниц мошенники начали прятать контент, например, под простой игрой «Угадай правильную ячейку». Пользователю, который зашел случайно на такой ресурс, не будет понятно, для чего конкретно служит страница. Рассмотрим пример с доменом sort-center135523.icu , на котором содержится игра.
